Adoption
Our shelter partner is Humane Society of Marathon County. The goal of our sanctuary is to be the bridge between HSMC, where guests can reserve time to interact with shelter cats in a relaxed setting and explore the possibility of adoption.
Anyone interested in adopting a cat, fills out the adoption application with Marathon County Humane Society. The adoption is a HSMC process (we are only the foster home). Once approved, your adoption contract is signed with HSMC and adoption fees are paid to them. We then work with the adopter on a pick up day and time from the Cat Sanctuary at Starry Night Cat Cafe. Don’t forget a cat carrier and your adoption contract for proof of adoption.
Cat Fostering Program
Our enclosed sanctuary is part of the Humane Society of Marathon County (HSMC) Cat Fostering Program.
Each cat is carefully selected by HSMC based on specific criteria to help set them up for success in a social, home-like environment.
All foster cats in our sanctuary are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. They receive daily care, enrichment, and attention from our dedicated cat care team.
We prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of every cat, creating a space where they can relax, build confidence, and connect with potential adopters.
